King Of Change to return in Fortune Stakes

Richard Hannon is currently leaning towards creating the Fortune Stakes at Sandown the target for Qipco 2000 Guineas runner-up King Of Change on his return out of a mid-season break to activity.
The Marlborough handler has allowed the mile Listed contest on September 18 as the port of call to Farhh’s kid, ahead of a Possible excursion from the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.
After breaking his maiden tag on his seasonal return in Nottingham, the Ali Abdulla colt took his form into new heights when chasing home Grecia in the mile Classic.
Hannon said:“I would say he goes to Sandown for your Fortune Stakes. He had a hard race in the Guineas and we were excited about giving him an easy time thinking there would be a good deal of fast ground in the summertime, although He’s nice.
„I believe he’d be better at that time of year with a little bit of cut in the floor. He is currently functioning nicely and is a really gifted horse.
„I would be hopeful he could come back and run well enough at Sandown to think about a QEII. The owners are very keen on following year’s effort and appearing at one of the races in Dubai.“
