James Maddison: England manager Gareth Southgate cannot guarantee midfielder game time

England manager Gareth Southgate says that he cannotguarantee individuals football when asked if Leicester midfielder James Maddison will earn his first cap.
Maddison has been an unused substitute four occasions at two England squads but is to get his first cap.
The 22-year-old has scored eight goals and registered nine assists in his 42 Premier League appearances for Leicester, also Southgate has selected him to get the most recent team that will perform Bulgaria and Czech Republic at Qualifiers.
England outfit contains in the 2018 World Cup squad following Dele Alli, Jesse Lingard and Kyle Walker missed out.
Southgate said:I can not guarantee individuals football.
He just has to find the players which have been left out to recognise merely to get at the squad is still an achievement, and I really dont handle him any differently to any of the other people, really.
He wishes to talk football thats good. He wants to know what aspects of the game that we enjoy and that we think he could improve.
He appears to take all that on board quite well, so hes playing well, but so is [Mason] Mount, therefore is [Jadon] Sancho so are all of the others – thats the conundrum.
The England manager has demonstrated faith in the countrys kids with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sancho, Mount Rice all becoming game time throughout the Euro 2020 qualifiers, also Southgate has called up Chelsea set Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori for Octobers fixtures.
Southgate considers in the players he selects and admits it is down to their own performances on the pitch with.
He said:Its a strange task since we won two matches every single time, we scored nine goals, and I was asked about creative players who did not catch on the pitch but weve got really good competition.
The players have to understand that, I can not promise and I cant say that youll definitely playwith.
There are times we are in camps where I might say to the players,you are not playing tonight, I am beginning you on Tuesday, however Ive never guaranteed things ahead of a camp.
I just dont know how they might perform, they may perform poorly in coaching matches and you begin thinking,Im not putting you into.
So, the competition is not there. Were giving them the chance impress and to come and it is up to them; they pick the group .
Managers dont, players do by the way that they perform and the manner that they behave and train
Three days 24, the Three Lions travel to Prague to play the Czech Republic prior to an away fixture from Bulgaria, on October 11.
