Police investigating gun claim at non-league football match

Police are investigating an incident in which a man in a football game in Battersea promised to be carrying a gun.
Late every month, the incident is said to have happened during a reserve-team match between Merrow and Battersea Ironsides.
The match is understood to have been abandoned following the Merrow players felt it was dangerous to continue.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:Police were contacted Sunday, 29 September about an incident on Burntwood Lane, SW19 at approximately 16:15hrs the preceding day.
It was alleged that a person confronted the victim and his buddies during a football match claiming to be in possession of a firearm.
There have been no arrests.
In a document found by Sky Sports News, the Surrey FA have concluded their analysis but stressed when the police find evidence of gamers being threatened with a 38, they would re-open the situation.
According to the document, there proceeded a spectator before being spat the Battersea Ironsides supervisor and by the referee. The referee didnt find any weapon.
