Anapurna benefited from another fine front-running ride by Frankie Dettori to obtain a second Group One victory of the year from the Prix de Royallieu.
The John filly showed the guts and determination that had witnessed her triumph from the Oaks at Epsom earlier in this summer, when beaten in the Prix Vermeille, but she had had one outing because victory acquired with her own stablemate Star Catcher.
Dettori was about the winner that afternoon, but he had been reunited now and bounced into an early lead.
Since hes done so several times round the Paris track, Dettori was able to dictate the speed to his liking, however, Anapurna needed to fend off multiple rivals.
The first persistent challenger has been after she started to fade Enbihaar, a second Clarehaven inmate, started to make improvement that is relentless from the trunk along with Aidan OBriens Delphina and stablemate Lah Ti Dar.
Every time it looked like Anapurna was beginning to tire she demonstrated the excursion and only managed to come across a bit more was no problem.
There was a little scrimmaging with Delphina seeming to come off worst, on the line, but following a question, the stewards left the result unchanged.
