Tis Marvellous out to resume winning ways in Scarbrough Stakes

Since he Intends That the DC Coaching And Development Services Scarbrough Stakes at Doncaster on 33, the Tis Marvellous of clive Cox is looking to bounce back by a luckless Streak in the Beverley Bullet.

Despite going into article as the 2-1 favorite, coming home fifth of 10, the five-year-old had travelled to Beverley off the back of a victory in a five-furlong heritage handicap at Ascot, with finished second at the Wokingham in the Royal meeting.

During that bout of shape he outperformed three of the Scarbrough competitions – Duke Of Firenze, Dark Equilateral and Shot.
„We are very satisfied with him and he really likes Doncaster,“ explained Quinn.
„He ran very well in the race this past year. Tis Marvellous will be the one they’ve got to conquer, his form is very good.“
Equilateral hasn’t yet been seen since his encounter with El Astronaute at the Curragh, where he completed three and a half lengths behind the gelding and seven lengths behind the winner of John Quinn.
The four-year-old colt was previously second to Mabs Cross at the Group Three Palace House Stakes at Newmarket, missing out by a neck.
Talking of his Scarbrough entry, coach Charlie Hills stated:“It’s the race we’ve been waiting for.
„Obviously he’s won at the track before, it is a race he must be running very nicely in.“
Elsewhere within five furlongs is your Michael Dods-trained Queens Gift, second to Judicial in also a yearlong winner plus the Beverley Bullet in the line-up this season.
Scott Dixon’s Dark Shot, David Griffiths‘ Duke Of Firenze along with James Fanshawe’s Archer’s Dream will also be in the combination, together with the latter looking to come back to form following his three-race winning streak came to an end when ninth from the Group Three Summer Stakes at York.
