Seattle Mariners at Tampa Bay Rays MLB Pick – August 19th

Following a blazing hot July, we began the month of August outside gradually. But we are heating up as night we picked up our fourth winner in our five championships. And last nights win came on my favorite kind of winner! We remained hot when that the Minnesota Twins were supported by us in the street, against the Texas Rangers.
When assessing who to bet on in my estimation, the general betting public puts. This was the case last night as Lance Lynn, who is having a good season for Texas, pushed this number towards the Rangers, regardless of the fact that Texas had lost nine from its last eleven games, also were a whopping fifteen matches back from the Twins entering play.
I did everything I love to perform, and that is place myself on the other side of this betting public, and endorsed the far superior team, also picked up some dog cash along the way. And Martin Perez to get Minnesota, in the end , actually outpitched Lynn within this particular one. Perez pitched five innings of all two-run chunk , while Lynn pitched five innings and allowed three earned runs.
The Twins jumped out to find the Rangers battle back and tie the game. But if a bases-loaded triple smashed on in the top the eighth inning and cleared the bases, it put away the game for Minnesota for good. It seems to wager on the group, but as they say, common sense ai not all that frequent.
You will need to jump all over it if you find out spots such as this one where you are able to grab up dog money on a group that is fifteen games much better than their opponent. For todays choice, we head to Tampa Bay where the Mariners are hosted by the Rays.
Winners of two show, the Seattle Mariners, head to Tampa Bay Monday for game one of a three-game series together with the Rays. Wins are hard to come by this season for Seattle as a number of high impact injuries have been endured by them and traded away just. However they have discovered a way to win four out of their last six games also are currently doing a decent job of battling here in the dog days of summer.
For Tampa Bay, then since they have a game and a half lead about the Oakland Athletics to the final playoff spot in the match, they are trying to hang onto the 2nd card at the American League. Because their starting rotation is decimated, tampa is suffering through injuries in their own. That has not slowed down them though as theyve won eleven out of their last fifteen games.
Beginning for the Mariners tonight is the ace, Marco Gonzalez (12-10 4.26 ERA) and to get the Rays, it is Brendan McKay (2-2 5.08 ERA). The match complete over-under is set in eight and a half runs. The Rays have been -179 favorites. First pitch is scheduled for 4:10 PM PST in Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.
The Tampa Bay Rays slip into the play without having a lot of a rotation and are currently trying to hang on. He may be heading straight back to the team shortly, although Blake Snell, last years Cy Young Award winner, is out with an injury. And the Rays are playing before heading down earlier this season without Tyler Glasnow, who looked similar to this years Cy Young Award winner. The Rays have been forced to play without Yonny Chirinos occasionally and Charlie Morton .
But even with all those accidents, the Rays have been among the top pitching staffs in the majors this year. The Rays are top three at the game WHIP, and in earned run average against. While playing the more hitter-friendly American League, in a division with the heavy-hitting Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, and thats. The Rays have a line of fire throwers, and it is next man up every night for Tampa Bay.
One of those guys that has stepped around to Tampa Bay has been rookie Brendan McKay. McKay has been the number fourth overall draft pick from the 2017 draft and also was on a fast track to the significant leagues. With all the injuries, McKay immediately showed what hes capable of since he took his debut start into the inning with an ideal game in tow and was added to the rotation. He ended that game with six shutout innings.
Two begins then, he threw five shutout innings. For a man this youthful and inexperienced it is more about what hes capable of, instead of what he has actually done, although Hes had some mixed results in his five starts. As he has all the makings of an All-Star at only twenty-three years old and he is capable of being a top of the rotation type of man.
The Seattle Mariners do have a genius at this point, but Marco Gonzalez has done a decent job of faking it this year. Gonzalez has turned into the shoes of King Felix in Seattle and was the Mariners day this year. And through April he appeared every bit the role as he had been 5-0 with a 2.80 ERA. But things have been for its draft selection.
It is not when he cries that Marco has been all that bad, hes been decent, it is that the Mariners dont appear to score runs. This Mariners lineup has supplied him with only five runs of service complete. That is only within a half and a jog game. Not even King Felix in his prime, will win games!
This game will be low scoring. The Mariners are dead last in the majors in runs and the Rays arent much better since theyre in 23rd. Both of these teams dont score a good deal of runs, and they have good starters on the mound. Yeah, McKay has been inconsistent however if youre ever going to have a terrific outing, projecting against a Seattle team which has a triple-A lineup will help.
When you look at this Mariners bullpen, they got the night off last night, so they need to be rested, as a complete game threw. The Rays? They got the lowest team ERA in the game from August, along with their bullpen has been great. I think that one goes under tonight. Otherwise for the good pitching, because of its dearth of effective hitting. Feels like 4-1 Tampa Bay if you want my opinion. Give me the below eight and a half runs tonight in game 1 from Tampa Bay!
